
Blair Gifford
Blair Gifford, PhD is a Visiting Professor of Clinical Research at the Center for Global Health, U. of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. He recently retired and was awarded as Professor Emeritus in the U. of Colorado Business School. Dr. Gifford started Global Health Connections (GHC) not for profit in 2006 and has served as Board Chair since its inception. GHC is showing tremendous progress in improving household health, income and social well-being in villages throughout Kenya. GHC soon will be scaling their Community Health and Empowerment Club model to other nations. Before working in Kenya, Blair worked in Haiti (2007-2017) and SE Asia (2003-2018). He was awarded as a New Century Fellow by Fulbright/US State Department and has had visiting professor appointments at Yale University, Northwestern University and Tsinghua University in Beijing. Dr. Gifford has a PhD in Sociology from the U. of Chicago and a BA in Economics from the U. of California at Santa Cruz. He is very active in Rotary and was the President of the Castle Pines Rotary Club (CO) in 2023-4. Blair competes in sports (golf, tennis and baseball) and is enjoying seeing his family’s increasing involvement in tennis and community service activities while attaining work and educational accomplishments.
