The Ryzosphere is a B2B digital ecosystem powering regenerative and bioregional food systems through market access, transparency, AI powered insights and collaboration. We are converting a decade‑old industry network into an intelligent platform that discovers, qualifies, matches and maps counterparties, ultimately reducing transaction risk and cycle time.
Snacktivist is a food innovation company with expertise in climate-smart crops like millets and sorghum as well as regenerative, organic and transparency-driven supply chains. We work as brokers, consultants and buy/sell agents of agricultural and finished products.
Joni is building supply chain transparency models that are critical in transforming the global food system into a resilient, human and environmental health-focused system.
Joni co-founded the North American Millets Alliance to help grow awareness, market demand and scientific support for millets as a nutritious, climate-smart, future-forward family of crops. They provide educational content, grading standards, standardization of nomenclature and aggregation of research in genetics, agronomy and product development.
She serves on the Idaho steering and Diverse Markets committees for the USDA Regional Food Business Centers Initiative which will promote the development of regional food systems by “Connecting, Strengthening and Scaling Food Supply Chains in the Northwest and Rocky Mountain Region”.
Joni is the host of “Regenerative by Design” a podcast series about regenerative agriculture, food system transformation, and the future of food.
When not building the food system of the future, Joni enjoys gardening, cooking, hiking, skiing and kayaking in the Northwest with her 3 kids and amazing husband of 25 years.
