We’re pleased to report that Season 2 is underway at our Mbarara Farm in Uganda!
This season we have planted soya seeds at the farm through a combination of hand and machine planting, and so far, with weather predictions, we are expecting higher than average yields come harvest time.
Our farm staff is making steady improvements to the land and operations, and we currently have 50 farmers working the land for this stage of Season 2, the majority being women. Several of our laborers are helping to train and teach other laborers on best farming practices. We are using a highly-effective organic fertilizer on the fields, which has thus far been bringing good results.
