The World Food Bank (WFB) is pleased to announce that Mr. Vincent Ssempijja, the Cabinet Minister of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries in Uganda, recently signed a resolution to work with WFB and the National Crop Resources Research Institute, a division of MINAGRI (the Ministry of Agriculture and Animal Resources) to promote and educate farmers in Uganda about hybrid commodities seeds developed to produce higher quantities of quality food.
In addition to this, the World Food Bank is actively working with strategic partners across Uganda to insure sufficient access to high quality seed, fertilizer, irrigation, harvest equipment and technology in an effort to increase agricultural outputs, provide farmers long-term financial support, and solve the food insecurity problem.
